Worker’s Compensation Nurse Case Manager! Work From Home!
Responsible for case work, case management and establishing effective business contacts to promote case referrals. Provide comprehensive medical case management, medical planning; development; record review for referral sources. Establish Return to Work plan for client to original employer.
Prerequisites:
• Active license as a Registered Nurse
• Must be Bilingual
• Previous case management experience and worker's compensation experience preferred
• Prior clinical experience in ER,OR,ICU, trauma
• BSN and/or CCM a plus
•         Must have QRP Certification
Essential Job Functions:
• Immediate response to new referral to include three point contact with employer, injured worker and physician
• Coordinate Initial Assessment with claimant
• Obtain a signed authorization for release of medical records
• Work with physician of record to coordinate/facilitate goal oriented medical treatment
• Work with Employer to develop modified duty to facilitate return to work
• Document and report findings at least every 30 days in a written report to referral source
• Provide verbal and e-mail updates to referral source weekly or as events dictate
• Provide support to claimant and family during case management phase
• Develop rehabilitation plan via customer and state guidelines
• Assess patient needs from medical record review

CONSULTING MANAGER, CASE MANAGEMENT - 80% travel:
This Manager will have significant responsibility for project management, client management, solution design and implementation, and generation of project results. They are responsible for working with client executives to maintain the appropriate client support and momentum. Responsible for mentoring the analysts and associates on the project team and helping them develop by providing necessary direction.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• BS/BA degree in Nursing or a health-related field required. A Master's degree in Nursing, in Health or Hospital Administration is highly preferred.
• Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification highly desirable, within an acute care environment (not managed care or worker’s compensation).
• 7+ years experience in healthcare consulting (preferred) and/or healthcare provider operations with specific case management experience is required. The focus is on the issues surrounding Length of Stay; Utilization & Case Management; Patient Throughput; and collaboration between Social Workers, RN Case Managers, and clinical staff.
 
Ability to make the following minimum travel commitment: Monday - Thursday on-site at client location/Friday home office - each/every week. As such, our consultants can live anywhere in the lower 48 states as long as they are near a major airport.

 DIRECTOR-CASE MANAGEMENT
The Director- Case Management is part of the nursing management team and reports to the Chief Medical Officer. You will be responsible for leading day-to-day clinical oversight and operations of the department comprised of a seasoned -staff  of 20 including nurses, social workers and others.  The Department is focused on unit-based medical case management, social services, utilization review, LOS, discharge planning and other metrics. Your concentration will be on advancing the quality of patient care through adoption of best practices, enhanced staff competencies, and promoting an environment of collaboration between the nursing and medical staffs.
Viable candidates will present the minimum requirements of a Bachelor of Science-Nursing (BSN), combined with a history of case management leadership experience of 3+ years in an active case management program.   Preferred candidates will bring related Master's preparation and CCM designation. Familiarity with EPIC or another EMR is beneficial. Key success factors include the abilities to communicate effectively, to manage multiple priorities, and to apply common-sense solutions.
